"My daughter took AP Biology and Honors Biology classes with Akshata for the last school year. Akshata's knowledge of Biology and Chemistry is excellent. I am sure she lives and breathes in those subjects :-) But there are two important reasons why my daughter is continuing with her this year in Hons Chemistry. Her passion to teach and ensure the students understand the content. And, her genuine interest to help her students. Initially, we didn't think my daughter would need supplemental help for AP Biology so she relied only on school. She had no background in Chemistry so soon she started falling behind in class. She started taking lessons with Akshata in late Oct. Akshata helped her a lot with fundamental Chemistry concepts to enforce understanding of Biology. Akshata made herself available and moved around her schedule to accommodate extra lessons for my daughter. She went out of her way and her efforts helped my daughter bring her grade up. However, my daughter switched from AP Biology to Hons Biology after Semester 1 because she decided not to pursue any field related to Biology in the future. Akshata was supportive of the decision and made space for her in the Hons Biology group and created a workable schedule for my daughter. My daughter finished the year with an excellent grade thanks to Akshata. I am eternally grateful to Akshata for all her help last year."
